I was raised in the United States south for most of my life. Rural Louisiana felt very small at times, so I grew up enamored with storytelling in any form – especially books, both fiction and nonfiction. I became interested in the sciences as a high school student in Texas and attended UT Austin, where I majored in both biology and history. Most of my teenage years were spent volunteering and later working as a tutor for students of all ages, something I found I really enjoyed. My own experiences as the student have impressed upon me the vast difference a solid foundation can make, and I joined Victory Step in order to help others as much as my own teachers have helped me. In my spare time, I like to run, write, and play piano as well as video games.
