About the Instructor
I’m a father of two beautiful children, ages five and one. I’m currently nearing the completion of a master’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Texas Woman’s University. Prior to my transition to graduate school, I was a Licensed Vocational Nurse in the state of Texas and Oklahoma. I have worked with children and adults for many years and currently have 300+ hours of direct session time with children in the public school setting. I have presented research nationally on childhood apraxia of speech, and the use of Integral Stimulation Techniques as a basis for motor learning and sensory feedback integration. I am passionate about learning and passing on my knowledge to others. I believe that the best teaching is fun, engaging, interactive, and based on higher level critical thinking skills.
