Book a Free ConsultationChicago students juggle some of the most demanding schedules in the Midwest, from selective enrollment course loads at Payton, Northside, Young, and Jones to the independent school pace at Latin, Parker, and Lab. We build SAT prep around that reality: focused one-on-one sessions, a plan that fits around sports, clubs, and the CTA commute, and practice that targets the exact question types costing your student points.
Every plan starts with a full diagnostic and score analysis so we can find the highest-leverage areas: the reading passages your student rushes, the algebra shortcuts they miss, and the grammar rules that keep tripping them up. Sessions mix math and reading and writing so both sections improve together.
A full-length digital SAT under real conditions. We score it, analyze it, and show you the biggest gaps and easiest wins.
Your tutor builds a session-by-session plan that targets the topics that will move the score most in the time you have.
Live one-on-one sessions with a top 1% tutor. Homework is targeted, not overwhelming, and progress is measured.
Full-length practice tests every few weeks with detailed score reports, so you always know where your student stands.
Starting in spring 2025, Illinois moved its required school-day test for juniors from the SAT to the ACT. That means many students now take the SAT on a national weekend date instead of at school. Colleges accept either test equally, so the right choice is the one where your student can score highest.
We start with a diagnostic to see where your student is strongest, and we help you plan test dates around school, sports, and application deadlines. If the ACT turns out to be the better fit, we can prepare for that too.

Illinois now gives juniors the ACT during the school day, but colleges accept the SAT and ACT equally. Many students still choose the SAT because it fits their strengths better. We can give your student a diagnostic to help you decide.

It depends on the student. We look at diagnostic results, pacing, and comfort with each format, then recommend the test where your student is most likely to reach their goal.
Most students start in the spring of sophomore year or the summer before junior year. Starting early leaves time for more than one official test date without rushing.
